Does Frevo have a dress code?
The dress code is elegant casual. Jackets are not required. Frevo does not allow shorts or flip-flops.
What does my pre-paid tasting menu/reservation cover?
Your pre-paid amount covers the tasting menu for each guest on your reservation. This excludes food supplements, wine pairings, glasses, bottles, and other beverages. Guests will be invited to decide on these upon arrival.
If my plans change, can I get my deposit / pre-sold tasting menu refunded once it is purchased?
All sales are final. Deposits and pre-sold tasting menus are non-refundable. However, you can always transfer your reservation to another person.
When do reservations open for future months?
Frevo reservations for the following month open on the 1st day of the current month at 2 p.m. (For example, reservations for February open on January 1st).
Can you accommodate allergies and other dietary restrictions?
Please note that, unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, seafood-free, or lactose-free diets at this time. However, with prior notice to the day of your reservation, Frevo can accommodate single-product allergies, gluten-free, tree-nut-free, and pescatarian diets. Please also note that, given the complexity of our kitchens and menus, Frevo can not guarantee that your food will be prepared in a nut, dairy, gluten, or allergen-free environment. There are no precautions to ensure that our purveyors handle every food item in an allergen-free environment during the packing and distribution process. For this reason, please note that we are not able to accommodate guests where cross-contamination can trigger a reaction.
Does Frevo offer wine pairings?
Yes. Our Sommelier, Quentin Vauleon, who was named Best Young Sommelier in France in 2017, signs our wine list and curates two custom-made wine pairings, Wine Pairing and Premium Pairing, which highlight the flavors and textures of the tasting menu.
Does every person in my party need to participate in the wine pairings?
No, participation in either of our offered wine pairings is up to you and your guests. Guests also have the option to order by glass or bottle from our wine list.
What is your corkage policy?
Frevo charges $ 100 for a standard 750 ml bottle. We allow one bottle maximum per reservation.
Are children allowed at Frevo?
We cannot accommodate children under the age of 8 due to the restaurant's configuration. As much as we like babies and children at Frevo, we kindly ask that you respect this policy for the sake of our guests' experience. If you would like to bring your child (over 8 years old), please note that they will count as one more guest and, therefore, require a pre-paid reservation as the remainder of the party. Unfortunately, Frevo does not have storage for trolleys or children's seats.
Can I bring my dog to Frevo?
Frevo loves dogs, but the Department of Health does not.
Emotional Support Dogs are not covered under ADA or New York State Service Dog rules and regulations. Only ADA-approved service dogs are allowed inside with their humans. Thank you for your understanding.
Does Frevo sell gift certificates or gift cards?
Yes, you can purchase your gift card on our website.
Do you accommodate larger groups?
Reservations online are open for parties of up to six guests. For larger parties or any other inquiries, including the option of a restaurant buyout, please email us at [email protected], and we will provide our Private Events Deck.
What happens if I am late to my reservation?
Frevo allows 2.5 hours per seating, counting from the original reservation time. Should you experience a delay, kindly notify the restaurant. In order to ensure a seamless experience for our guests, the establishment adheres to a pre-defined script whereby the kitchen's setup advances throughout the dinner service. Consequently, parties arriving more than 15 minutes late will forfeit portions of the tasting menu, as the kitchen will not be able to revert to the beginning of the menu once the 15-minute tolerance period has elapsed. Therefore, we kindly ask our guests to respect the arrival and end times of the reservation.
What if one or more of our guests can't make it?
If your guest count drops below the reservation's original number, the deposit for the missing guests will be lost.
Can I work on my laptop or tablet while enjoying my experience at Frevo?
At Frevo, we do not allow laptops or electronic tablets during your experience to preserve the experience of other guests.
How long should I expect my dinner to last at Frevo?
This depends on the pace of your party; however, dinner at Frevo lasts an average of two hours for parties of up to four guests.
Can I store a bike or scooter at the restaurant while dining at Frevo?
Unfortunately, we do not have space to store bikes or scooters of any kind.
Can I record the experience, bring a camera, tripod, or other recording device, and install it on the table or counter during my visit to Frevo?
Although we allow small clip recordings with your phone or a small camera, Frevo does not permit permanent recording devices to be set up or installed during your dinner with Frevo in order to preserve the guest experience and privacy.
